Oral Evidence to Culture, Welsh Language and Communications Committee, National Assembly for Wales

Ruth and Caitriona were invited by the Culture, Welsh Language and Communications Committee of the Welsh Assembly to give oral evidence as part of the committee’s knowledge gathering for Ofcom’s ‘Small Screen, Big Debate‘ review.

The discussion was wide ranging and included discussion of funding models for public service broadcasting, the opportunities and challenges around access to Welsh language content in a digital world and the policy interventions that might ensure the sustainability of the Welsh production sector.

Evidence to the inquiry was also provided by broadcasters, Ofcom and a number of independent production companies. It can be viewed and read here.
