AHTV event – Barbican

In early 2019 the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and Edinburgh TV Festival (ETF) launched the first edition of AHTV, a day of masterclasses, discussion and one-on-one meetings between Arts and Humanities researchers and the television industry.  Held at The Barbican in London the event facilitated several opportunities for collaboration between researchers and the television sector.

Both Caitriona and Roderik attended the event and along with a series of talks, both met with commissioners and other senior representatives representing the sector including the BBC, Channel 4, Sky Arts and All3Media.  The event’s keynote speech was given by historian and broadcaster David Olusoga who shared his thoughts on engaging the public with academic research.
