What makes Danish TV drama series travel?

Both Ruth and Caitriona presented at the conference on Transnational Television Drama in Aarhus, Denmark.

Ruth was a keynote speaker for the session ‘The Values of Transnational Television Drama: Gender, Culture and Language’.  She later took part in an academic and industry panel on ‘The New Nordic Noir: How the industry and researchers can collaborate on talent training, innovation and strategic partnerships’. A report from these sessions is available here.

Caitriona presented a paper on ‘Analysing Screen Agencies as Cultural Intermediaries within Small Nations’. This paper introduced the project and argued for greater critical attention to the complex network of actors that exist in the spaces between cultural production and consumption.
